Arkansas Virtual Academy sends off Class of 2025 with college credits, career skills
May 23, 2025

LITTLE ROCK — Arkansas Virtual Academy (ARVA), a tuition-free, online K-12 public charter school powered by K12, celebrated its Class of 2025 with a ceremony on Saturday, May 10 at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock’s Jack Stephens Center. This year’s 576 graduates are leaving high school with more than diplomas — many have earned college credits, completed career training or are preparing to enter military service.
From rural communities to urban centers, ARVA students across all 75 counties have used the school’s flexible online model to pursue meaningful, individualized paths beyond the virtual classroom and shape their futures.
“Our students come to us with big goals — and ARVA equips them with the tools and guidance to achieve them,” said Amy Johnson, Executive Director of ARVA. “This graduation proves that personalized, statewide public education can be rigorous, relevant and rooted in the real world.”
ARVA high schoolers customize their experience through career and technical education (CTE) pathways, dual credit college coursework and access to honors and AP courses. Many also engage in hands-on learning at ARVA’s Education Hub in Little Rock, which offers space for career readiness training and in-person engagement. Whether working toward industry certifications, building academic momentum or preparing to serve their country, graduates are equipped to thrive in college, careers and beyond.
The Class of 2025 includes:
- 38 career center students who completed 133 dual enrollment college credits
- 15 graduates enlisting in the military
- 56 students who have secured job offers
- 169 students who have earned industry certifications
Student speakers Aubrey Grace Cody and Jacinda EviaLe Cribbs delivered remarks at the graduation ceremony, sharing their personal journeys and ARVA’s role in shaping their futures. State Rep. Keith Brooks, who represents portions of Pulaski, Perry and Saline counties in Arkansas House District 78, served as the guest speaker for this year’s ceremony. A longtime supporter of education initiatives in Arkansas, Rep. Brooks shared remarks on leadership, perseverance and the opportunities that await graduates as they enter the next phase of their journeys.
With 5,460 students enrolled during the 2024-25 school year, ARVA continues to meet the growing demand for flexible, high-quality public education across Arkansas. The school’s statewide reach and commitment to individualized learning empower students to chart their own paths and build lasting success.
